Missy's Horses
"Caly"
Caly is a Thoroughbred mare that originally came to me as a project horse, but after quite some time of figuring each other out Missy decided to keep her for her personal riding horse. They have successfully competed up to 3'6 jumpers on the local circuit. Through many ups and downs they have formed a close bond. Caly loves trail rides and occasionally goes out to some jumper shows where she always shows her athleticism but never her age.
"Luna"
Luna is a thoroughbred mare that is quite the character. Missy got her site unseen when she was 3 years old with a bowed tendon and a fiesty side. She has loved her ever since she first came home. Luna is a character and one of the sweetest horses, always begging for attention.
"Raven"
Rai is a Holstiner x TB gelding. Missy originally tried this horse out when looking at Chance years ago. She had too many horses and decided to hold off on bringing Rai home too. His owner contacted Missy again about purchasing Rai and stated that he picked his riders... she finally decided to go try him again and brought him home. He has such a big heart and personality. Missy enjoyed showing Rai for a couple years and had successful outings including the Duke Benefit. He is now mostly retired and enjoys going on hacks around the farm.
"Arson"
Arson is Missy's main riding horse. She adopted him through Turning for Home in 2019 after falling in love with his personality and athleticism. This guy is such a character and always is trying to get your attention! He reminds Missy a lot of Twister. He can be seen leading trails and Missy currently is bringing him along in the jumper ring and occasional low level hunters. She would like to eventually play in some derbies and aim for the TB jumpers. This guy is an awesome addition and never fails to put a smile on your face.
"Cappadocia"
Cappa is Missy's first own adoption from Turning For Home. This fiery filly never made it to racing and came down fresh off the track with a mild bow but injured a back leg that required weeks of rehab and daily wrapping. During that time Cappa had to learn to trust and be patient at just 4 years old in a brand new place. Missy became quite attached to this mare and decided to adopt her for a personal project. Cappa's personality fits right in with the crew.
"Noelle"
We purchased Noelle from an auction in 2019. She was a fiery TB mare that had been passed around the auctions. Noelle proved to be very athletic but also very quirky. Missy has starting showing her in 2021 in the jumpers and hopes to bring her along this year.
